Invest Solid Gold

Compare Gold Options

There is no single “gold investment.” Each route packages price exposure, ownership, custody, liquidity and cost differently. Use these decision lenses before comparing individual providers.

Physical bars and coins

Best explored when tangible ownership is central to the goal and you can solve delivery, authentication, secure storage, insurance and resale. Compare premium and buyback spread on the same day and in the same unit of weight.

Vaulted or digital physical gold

Look for clear legal title, allocation, independent audits, named custodians, insurance, withdrawal rights, minimums and wind-down terms. A convenient app does not answer those questions by itself.

Gold ETCs and similar exchange-traded products

Read the key investor document, prospectus and factsheet. Check whether the product is physically backed, the issuer and custody structure, ongoing charge, exchange spread, currency exposure, trading venue and account eligibility.

Mining shares and mining funds

Treat these as equities. Gold prices influence revenue, but energy, labour, grades, reserves, financing, management and politics influence outcomes too. A diversified fund reduces single-company exposure but does not remove sector risk.

The four-line comparison

For every candidate, write: what I legally own; every cost to buy, hold and sell; what can go wrong outside the gold price; and exactly how I can exit. If the provider cannot make those lines clear, keep comparing.
